Sometimes when I'm reading, I like to imagine my characters as people I know in my own life. When I do that type of thinking, I often have a character that I look up to and hope to be like in my own life.
When I think about Isle of the Lost, I admire Mal for the growth she has made as a character. She is starting to become a better person and making choices that are positive. I look up to and admire this type of behavior because she came from a place where she thought she always had to be bad. At the beginning of the story, she had some evil intentions, but now I'm starting to think that she just grew up in a home where that was acceptable. Now that she is making her own choices, she is realizing that being good is the better option.
What do you admire most about a character in your book? Why do you look up to them or hope to be like them?
I admire the sub teacher because all the kids love her. I look up to her because I want to be nice to kids.

ReplyDeleteI like my character because it's an alien and they have extra hands,eyes and they live in space. I hope to be like them because if I was an alien I would be able to live in space.

ReplyDeleteI like the character charlotte from my book riding freedom but I would not like to be like her why would I not want to be like her? I would not because she tends to run away multiple times. I dont like that.

ReplyDeleteI don't want to be like Hank because she not even smart enough to wrrite a 5 pahighah esay.Also, Hank try's to avoid the thing she can't do. What Hank does is the thing that I don't want to do.

ReplyDeleteWhat I admire about joey is how he acts silly and out of control because some times i just want to let lose and not care but i don't he is somewhat brave.
ReplyDeleteI am reading FlyGirl and I admire the main character, Ida. I admire her because she never gives in. For example, one time her brother said that he was going to join the army to fight, and she tried to persuade him to not do that. He insisted though. I would hope to be like her because she is brave and kind.
ReplyDeleteIn the I Survive the Shark attack of 1916 I liked the character Chet. I liked him because he is a hero because he got everyone out of the water when a shark came.

I like the fact that Greg is lazy and always does everything at the last minute. I somewhat want to be like him because he is kinda fun like when he always comes up with random ideas like, "In the future, I will be nice to every technology in my house." -Alex
