What do you think......

Why do you think the author chose the title of your book? How does it relate to the story?

I finished Friendship Wars and I think it relates to the book because even though there was a war over buttons, the more important issue was the friendship between Grace and Ellie. The title relates to the book because the girls were fighting with each other and it seemed like they had a war between each other.

Summer Homework

How is your summer reading homework going? Many of you had to choose from a list of books to read and be ready to discuss. What book did you choose for your summer reading and are you prepared to talk about the book when we go back to school?

TIP: Write a post-it summary of your book using First, Next, Then, After that, In the end. This should help you remember when you are in class, so you can focus your conversation.

P.S. If you have ANY questions about the summer work, you can also ask us in the comments and we will be sure to answer you as soon as possible!

Wondering Wednesday

Good Morning, Readers!

Today I'm wondering WHY you chose the book you're reading. Drop a comment below and be sure to include your name!

I am reading a new graphic novel called Noise. I chose this book because the character on the cover looked lonely and I thought the book might be about friendship. I also chose it because it was on the shorter side and I wanted to squeeze it in before I start a longer book.

On August 11th, 12th, and 13th you should be able to see a FABULOUS meteor shower right outside your door!

Here is an article all about meteor showers to find out more:
